Katherine A. Dering, Vice-Chair

Katherine A. Dering

Katherine A. Dering has over 27 years of accounting and finance experience, of which 17 years were dedicated to the banking industry. Ms. Dering held numerous financial and accounting posts in a number of community bank organizations and from 1994 to 2003 served as Senior Vice President and CFO of Provident Bank of Montebello, NY, where she played a key role in its initial public offering ("IPO"), as well as the bank's strategic planning. From 2005 to 2007, Ms. Dering served as CFO of Debt Resolve, Inc. and helped the company complete its IPO.  She has served on the board of The Westchester Bank since 2009.  Ms. Dering remains an active member of the Westchester community and currently serves on the board of the Katonah Poetry Series. She has also published a book about her brother’s mental illness and is an occasional speaker on the topic.   Ms. Dering is a graduate of Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York and holds an MA from the University of Buffalo, an MFA from Manhattanville College and an MBA in Accounting and Economics from the University of Minnesota. She resides in Bedford, NY
