Teller

The Westchester Bank is a full-service bank, located in Westchester County, NY that provides commercial and relationship banking services and offers an array of credit and deposit products for both individual and business clients. We are currently seeking a Teller to join our team.

Primary Functions:

  • Ensures efficient day to day operations of branch transactions
  • Ensures bank policies and procedures are followed
  • Develops business by establishing and maintaining sound relationships with existing and potential customers
  • Provide outstanding service to customers
  • Process customer transactions accurately
  • Assist customers with problem resolution in a timely manner
  • Supporting branch and bank-wide sales initiatives
  • Count cash accurately and balance assigned cash and work at the end of each workday, adhering to established balancing guidelines
  • Assist with the verification and balancing of the branch, vault/safe, ATM, and work documents
  • Obtain a working knowledge of bank products, services, policies and regulatory policies
  • Refer potential customers to CSR for account opening
  • Opens and close branch, familiar with branch security procedure
  • Research canceled checks and statements when needed
  • Research teller differences
  • Ordering currency and coin orders when needed
  • Complete other job duties as requested

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, 6 months cash handling experience
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite products
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Organization skills

Background check required, including credit check.
